Mitchell and Alicia Jones
Owners
Anchoring South, this is Mitchell and Alicia's dream. Ten years ago when they began growing their companies and team, they could only dream about the day when they could spend more time on their boat at the lake, diving in the Caribbean, or waking up with incredible lake and mountain views each morning. The Jones's have taken their passions and goals for the future and incorporated them into their unique business model. Each day they live and work by their corporate mission statement:

Justin Goins
Sales Manager
Justin has over 15 years experience in new and brokerage boat sales. His knowledge of the boating industry is unrivaled in the area. Justin has been awarded the distinguished Carver Yacht National Sales Award and works with clients all over the world. He is also a USCG liscensed Captain and has spent his career focusing on his customers. Justin is a native Tennessean and grew up on Ft. Loudon. He loves the water and the boating lifestyle.
Chad Hooper
General Manager
As the General Manager of The Ridges Resort & Marina on beautiful Lake Chatuge in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, Chad Hooper is passionate about the success of the business and his family. He takes pride in every decision he makes. Chad loves seeing his team do the things that most would not. He takes time to understand what means most to his guest. Most importantly he always puts God first in all his goals in both work and life.
Barry Miller
Captain
Captain of Symphony II a 112’ charter yacht, Barry hails from sunny Durban South Africa and has been involved in yachting for as long as he can remember. The water is a family passion and, he chose sailing over surfing at the age of eight. In the past, he has been fortunate to work as Captain/Engineer with his wife as chef/hostess on smaller yachts, navigating through the waters of the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Barry and his wife Bridget have been family friends for a long time, and we are extremely excited to welcome them aboard!
David Lawrence
Properties Manager
David, better known as “Super Dave” joined the Anchor South team nine years ago and has enjoyed the growth of the company from the start. The attention to customer service and the pride everyone has in the business keeps him motivated. Having as much real estate as Anchor South does, Dave stays busy and on the road most of the time. He enjoys taking time to spend afternoons in the summer with his two beautiful daughters boating on either Lake Chatuge, Tellico Lake or the Tennessee River.
Jill McCurry
Senior Corporate Accountant
Jill grew up in south Florida with the ocean and pools as her playground. She moved a little north to go to college and began her career an accountant. In her personal life, about 14 years ago, she and her husband bought a boat on which to live full time and started their family. That was the beginning of their dream...to live on a boat, raise their children and travel to new places. The McCurrys have been doing just that ever since. When Jill joined Anchor South early in 2012, she was able to blend her professional life with her personal life in an industry she loves. She brings the financial knowledge needed to manage the marine businesses of Anchor South, while providing knowledge of 14 years in the boating industry.
Sam Corbin
Corporate IT Manager
Sam Corbin is our Corporate IT Manager, he joined the Anchor South team back in 2010. Sam prides himself at being a North Georgia boy. He was born and raised in the mountains of North Georgia and works frequently at The Ridges Resort & Marina. He also travels to Knoxville as he is needed. Sam is one of the few people on our crew that you may never see, but will often call. He is continually working, day or night. The things that keep Sam going the most is his family, and the desire to do what is right. Service is a big part of his life doing all that he can to serve and help others. When Sam has the time to step away from his office or computer he likes to take his little brother out fishing or go out for a ride in the mountains with his family and fiance.
